Tess and I have been asked many times to describe our Honeymoon - but it has proved a very difficult experience to effectively describe - our time there was wonderful, but it doesn't seem to translate easily into a collection of good stories... But I now know how to tell the story - it must be told though the medium of food.

Yesterday - after an eventful and emotional couple of weeks - an inspiration came to me... I had to make the Sea Bass a la Lucchesi and share the meal with Tess, Tess's Aunti Micki and her Husband Ken.

OK - so let me put it this way... This is like perhaps my ULTIMATE concept of food. This is like my Gastronomic Happy Place. and not everyone (believe it or not) feels the same as me.

That's why I had to make this especially for Micki - Because I knew she'd really appreciate it.

What amazed me though - is how the meal really began to create the feeling we had in Lucca. In a way our honeymoon was like a big cathartic meal after a long emotional experience.

So Suddenly we were BACK in LUCCA- (actually - we were at the table at our house in seattle - but this photo is from the day we made the same dish in Lucca - Yesterday we were so involved in eating that we forgot to photograph the ultimate product....)

and Tess made Desert!
